Strawberry Fields. Exploring the relationship between people and land this work focuses on themes of our environment and ecology. Humankind depends on pollinating insects for one in every three mouthfuls of food, but habitat loss and climate change are decimating these insect populations while our consumption of soft fruit has risen by 150% over twenty years. Strawberry Fields documents a Yorkshire strawberry farm with 400km of table-top strawberry plants (end to end they would reach the south coast). Soon fruit pickers may be replaced by robots, but pollination of every flower will still depend on insects.
