At the Still Point of the Turning World The project explores themes of community, age and belonging in an ancient, rural English village landscape. Photographed in their homes, the portraits capture some of the longest-term residents of the North Yorkshire settlement of Ampleforth, Lucy’s home village for over twenty years. Portraits, landscapes, still lifes, oral histories and archive images are interwoven. This work was supported by Arts Council England’s Develop Your Creative Practice grant programme.
